Abstract |
Background. The aim of the work is to analyze the state and determine the prospects of development of Russian-Chinese trade relations in the conditions of introduction of blockchain technologies in e-Commerce, analysis of the main risks and problems of development of e-Commerce between the two countries.
Materials and methods. The study is based on the methodology of mainstream economic theory and the application of General scientific and specific economic methods. Used database AKITA, conference materials ICRITO 2017.
Results. The main prerequisites for the development of e-Commerce between Russia and China are identified: the steadily increasing dynamics of foreign trade turnover of countries, a huge number of potential buyers (up to 90 % of the population), the presence of government programs that create favorable conditions for the development of cross-border e - Commerce, the specific Chinese-Russian model of e-Commerce market, characterized by self-developing retail, the availability of alternative payment systems from conventional Bank transfers to the use of e-wallets, payment with credit and debit cards, etc. The difference in the volume of e-Commerce between Russia and China, high transport costs, a certain narrowness of the nomenclature of Russian exports are shown as constraints to the development of trade between the countries. It is established that the main risks are: the lack of a single legal model adopted by the counterparty countries, the reliability of the results of verification of potential counterparties, the definition of correct contracts, aspects of the adequacy of information flows. The possibilities of Blockchain technology in reducing the identified risks are analyzed.
Conclusions. The technology of the blockchain system can be implemented with the help of existing legal and information support and does not require radical changes in the entire logistics information system. The gradual introduction of the principles of a decentralized blockchain system in e-Commerce between the two countries will eliminate most of the shortcomings of centralized systems related to the security of information flows due to the transparency of trade operations and the reliability of statistical data.
